NEWFERT consortium consists of a multidisciplinary team. It is designed in order to recover NPK nutrients from biobased waste for fertiliser production, bringing together 6 partners from 4 European Union member countries (Spain, Germany, France and Austria) as it clearly emerges from the participants list. Partners represent Member States throughout Europe, so that the project has a clear European dimension that will allow an easier pooling of competences and a wider and faster impact on the industrial fertiliser production.
NEWFERT consortium is led by FERTIBERIA and composed by a balanced set of partners: biobased industries, SMEs, RTOs and academic institutions covering nutrients recovery from biobased waste field. FERTIBERIA is leader in fertiliser industry in Spain and has a strong influence and presence in Europe.
The experience of the project leader on fertiliser production has led this promoter to gather a partnership with the most experienced European industries with demonstrated experience in recovering nutrients from biobased residues and universities with current state-of-the art knowledge on the topic. In addition to that, FERTIBERIA owns a strong background in European expert committees and it is member of Bio-Based industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) established to implement a Joint Technology Initiative on Biobased Industries.
Partners represent Member States throughout Europe, so that the project has a clear European dimension which will allow an easier pooling of competences and a wider and faster impact on recovery nutrients for fertiliser production, in order to reach the objectives indicated in the NEWFERT project. An important presence of Spanish participants can be seen in the consortium.
